Ctayt Imperial Stout

Ctayt Imperial Stout at The Liquor Barn
A little Stout history:

Imperial stout, also known as “imperial Russian stout,” is a strong dark beer in the style that was brewed in the 18th century by Thrale’s brewery in London, England for export to the court of Catherine II of Russia. Catherine the Great drinking a Cyayt Russian Imperial Stout.

AC Golden Brewing Company has picked up where history left off to create an Imperial Stout for the modern, non-Russian-royalty beer lover.

They used massive amounts of roasted barley and chocolate malts to achieve this stout’s rich black color, and delicate oats and caramel malts to give it its rich, lasting foam.

Ctayt Russian Imperial Stout is aged in freshly emptied whiskey barrels.  Months of meticulous aging imparts a complexity of flavors that include caramelized coconut, vanilla, and dark chocolate.  A great pair to heartier dishes!

Ctayt is part of AC Golden’s Hidden Barrel Collection.  Many beers and ales in the collection require months to reach maturity.  The wait is over for this great Imperial Ale!  Come try one at The Liquor Barn today!
